Collection: Silk - All in One Mineral Paint

Silk is a new All in One Mineral Paint by Dixie Belle Paint Company.  It works TOTALLY differently than their ever popular Chalk Mineral Paint line.  

You must be sure your surface is cleaned well (we suggest DBP White Lightning) and tacked/de-glossed.  Once your surface is then cleaned again, you work with a DRY brush in long sweeping strokes.  Be sure to load a decent amount of paint to allow for self-leveling.  Silk dries from the top-down so you must be sure to allow the paint to dry well (at least 2 hours - overnight is great) before brushing on the second coat.  Repeat, if necessary, for 3rd coat.

Silk has the equal of 1 coat of Boss Primer built in.  This is a blocking primer which means you have 1 coat of a primer that blocks bleed or odors.

Silk does not require a top coat, however, use your judgement.  If you feel the surface will get a lot of use, you may choose to apply a Clear Coat or Gator Hide.  Waxes and Howdy Doo will work as well, but allow more time to dry.

Allow 21-30 days for Silk to cure.  It dries to a low-lustre finish.
